AMC US LLC, doing business as Galtsand (“Galtsand,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit or interact with www.galtsand.com and any other website, online store, account, customer-service channel, retail location, event, application, or service that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”). It also explains the privacy rights and choices that may be available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to customers and visitors in the United States and other countries, including the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Certain sections apply only where the referenced law governs our processing. If a separate notice is presented when personal information is collected, that notice supplements this Privacy Policy.
1. Personal Information We Collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with an individual or household. It does not include information that is lawfully made public, deidentified, or aggregated so that it cannot reasonably identify an individual.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Contact and account information: including your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account credentials, date of birth if voluntarily provided, communication preferences, and other profile information.
Order and transaction information: including products viewed, saved, purchased, returned, or exchanged; order numbers; payment status; delivery information; gift-message information; discounts; loyalty or promotional activity; and customer-service history. Payment-card information is generally collected and processed directly by our payment processors, although we may receive limited payment-related information such as card type, expiration date, billing address, and transaction confirmation.
Commercial information: including purchase and browsing history, product interests, size and style preferences, reviews, survey responses, promotion entries, and interactions with our marketing.
Device, internet, and network activity: including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, search activity, session information, cookie identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with advertisements, emails, text messages, and the Services.
Communications and customer-service information: including emails, chat messages, telephone communications, return requests, feedback, questions, complaints, social-media messages, and any information you choose to provide when contacting us.
Retail, event, and security information: including in-store purchase information, event registrations, and security-camera footage where cameras are used at our premises.
Social-media and user-generated content: including social-media handles, posts, tags, comments, photographs, videos, reviews, and content submitted to Galtsand or made available when you interact with us through a social-media platform.
Marketing and preference information: including email and SMS subscriptions, consent records, opt-out choices, cookie selections, language, location, and preferred communications.
Inferences: such as likely product interests or preferences derived from purchases, browsing activity, and interactions with our Services and marketing.
Information for business relationships: including name, role, organization, professional contact information, tax or resale documentation, order history, and communications relating to wholesale, licensing, university, event, supplier, creator, or other commercial relationships.
Other information you provide: including information submitted through forms, applications, contests, promotions, surveys, product reviews, or other features.
Some information may be considered “sensitive personal information” under applicable law, such as account login credentials, payment information processed on our behalf, or precise location if you affirmatively enable a feature that requires it. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law unless we first provide the required notice and choice.
2. Sources of Personal Information
We may collect personal information directly from you when you make a purchase, create an account, visit a store, register for an event, submit a form, contact us, request a return, enter a promotion, or subscribe to marketing. We may collect personal information automatically from your browser or device through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies. We may receive information from Shopify, payment processors, shipping and logistics providers, returns providers, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, advertising partners, social-media platforms, customer-support providers, marketing platforms, affiliate networks such as AvantLink, and publishers or creators participating in affiliate programs. We may also receive information from advertisements, affiliate links, social-media accounts, retail partners, events, publicly available sources, or another person who provides your information for a gift, delivery, event, or business inquiry.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services; process payments, orders, deliveries, returns, exchanges, and refunds; create and manage accounts; remember preferences; provide customer service; communicate about orders, accounts, services, security, and policy changes; authenticate users; prevent fraud; enforce our terms; and protect Galtsand, our customers, and others.
We may also use personal information to send marketing emails and text messages where permitted; personalize content and offers; provide and measure advertising; analyze website, store, campaign, product, and business performance; conduct research, surveys, promotions, contests, events, and product development; manage wholesale, licensing, supplier, creator, university, event, affiliate, and other commercial relationships; comply with law; maintain tax, accounting, and business records; respond to lawful requests; establish or defend legal claims; and complete a corporate transaction. We may use referral identifiers and transaction information to identify an affiliate that referred a visitor, attribute a purchase, calculate or validate commissions, reconcile returns, prevent affiliate fraud, resolve disputes, and assess program performance. We may use information for another purpose disclosed when it is collected or with your consent.
4. Legal Bases for UK and EEA Processing
Where UK or EEA data-protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Contract: when processing is necessary to provide products or services you request, process an order or return, manage an account, or take steps at your request before entering a contract;
Legitimate interests: including operating and improving our business and Services, providing customer support, preventing fraud, maintaining security, understanding customers, conducting proportionate marketing and analytics, and establishing or defending legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
Consent: including for non-essential cookies and certain email or SMS marketing, where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal;
Legal obligation: when processing is necessary to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, law-enforcement, or other legal requirements; and
Vital interests: in the limited circumstances where processing is necessary to protect someone’s life or physical safety.
5. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that support ecommerce hosting, payment processing, fulfillment, shipping, customs, returns, customer support, cloud storage, website operation, security, fraud prevention, analytics, marketing, communications, affiliate attribution, and professional services. We may disclose information to carriers, customs agents, and logistics or returns providers that need contact and shipment information to deliver, import, track, return, or resolve an order.
We may disclose online identifiers, browsing activity, referral information, and transaction-attribution information to advertising, analytics, social-media, and affiliate partners, including AvantLink and participating affiliate publishers or creators. Some disclosures involving cookies or similar technologies may be considered a sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising under certain US state laws even though Galtsand does not sell personal information for money.
We may also disclose information to retail, event, licensing, wholesale, creator, and commercial partners; attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and financial institutions; government authorities; parties needed to protect rights, safety, security, property, customers, Galtsand, or others; and parties involved in a potential or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
We may also disclose information at your direction, with your consent, or in an aggregated or deidentified form that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
6. AvantLink and Affiliate Marketing
Galtsand may participate in affiliate-marketing programs administered by AvantLink or other affiliate networks. When you select a Galtsand link or advertisement on an affiliate publisher’s website, social-media account, email, application, or other channel, the affiliate network and publisher may use cookies, pixels, link identifiers, device information, IP address, referral URLs, and similar technologies to recognize the referral and determine whether a purchase or other qualifying action resulted from it.
Galtsand may receive or disclose an affiliate identifier, click or referral identifier, transaction date and time, order number, order value, products purchased, discount or campaign information, device or browser information, and transaction status. This information may be used to attribute a transaction, calculate or validate a commission, prevent fraud, analyze campaign performance, reconcile returns or cancellations, and manage the affiliate relationship. Galtsand does not provide affiliate publishers with your full payment-card information. An affiliate publisher may receive a commission or other compensation when a customer makes a qualifying purchase through its link.
AvantLink and individual affiliate publishers may process personal information under their own privacy policies and may act independently from Galtsand for some processing. You should review the privacy notice of the website, publisher, creator, or affiliate network through which you reached Galtsand. Galtsand’s cookie settings and Your Privacy Choices control apply to technologies operated through Galtsand’s website, but may not control information independently collected on another party’s website or service.
Where required by UK or European law, Galtsand will obtain consent before placing non-essential affiliate-tracking cookies on your device. Where an applicable US state law treats affiliate or advertising disclosures as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, eligible residents may opt out through the Your Privacy Choices link.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Interest-Based Advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, maintain security, understand performance, attribute affiliate referrals, measure marketing, and provide advertising that may be more relevant to you.
Where required by law, including in the United Kingdom and EEA, we request consent before using non-essential cookies. You can review or change cookie preferences through the cookie settings available on the website. Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect site functionality.
Some advertising-related disclosures may constitute “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under US state privacy laws. Eligible visitors may opt out through the Your Privacy Choices link in the website footer. We also recognize qualifying opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as required by applicable law. A browser-based preference generally applies only to the browser or device that sends it unless we can associate it with your account.
For more information, please review our Cookie Policy.
8. Email and Text Message Choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by selecting the unsubscribe link in an email. You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP to a Galtsand message or following the instructions provided in the message. You may also contact us at support@galtsand.us.
Consent to receive marketing emails or text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Even after opting out of marketing, we may send non-promotional communications concerning orders, accounts, returns, security, or our ongoing business relationship. Please also review our Messaging Terms and Conditions in the Terms of Service.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

Access or receive a copy of personal information we maintain about you;
Correct inaccurate personal information;
Delete personal information;

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Verification may require information that reasonably matches information in our records. We will use information submitted for verification only to process the request. If we cannot verify a request, we may be unable to fulfill it. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and may contact you directly to verify your identity and authority.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we deny a request, we will explain the basis where required and provide appeal instructions if an appeal right applies. To appeal, email support@galtsand.us with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”
UK and EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where they live or work. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
10. Supplemental Notice for California Residents

The terms “personal information,” “sensitive personal information,” “sell,” and “share” have the meanings provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”). This section applies only to the extent Galtsand is subject to the CCPA and a particular right applies.
